Cold War Steve's joyful, satirical collage Benny's Babbies celebrates his home city, featuring famous Birmingham figures set against a 19th-century cityscape. For this very special event Cold War Steve (Christopher Spencer) is joined by three of the iconic Birmingham authors featured in this unique work of art - Kit de Waal, Mike Gayle and Catherine O'Flynn.

THE HOUSE THAT BRUM BUILT - 24th and 25th September 2026
A unique event that celebrates the third International Day of Birmingham giving the citizens of Brum unprecedented access to the iconic landmark that is the Council House.
There are ten rooms to discover, each with its own identity and programme. Visitors can explore the house with a keepsake Brummie Passport, collecting stamps as they go, discovering art, music, food, film, history, comedy, spoken word and more as they are entertained by Birmingham legends.
