The Council Chamber - The Council House, Birmingham.The Album Club is Switch Radio's regular music review show normally recorded at The Heath Bookshop - think book group but with records! This special IDOB edition will feature On Record - a multi-artist, multi-genre album featuring eleven original tracks dedicated to Brum. Tales of canals, Sparkhill at midnight and Bedders Chip Shop on the Coventry Road. Artists include UB40, Bambi Bains and Xhosa Cole. Listen to the album in advance and share your thoughts with radio host James Sandy and On Record executive producer Jez Collins.

THE HOUSE THAT BRUM BUILT - 24th and 25th September 2026
A unique event that celebrates the third International Day of Birmingham giving the citizens of Brum unprecedented access to the iconic landmark that is the Council House.
There are ten rooms to discover, each with its own identity and programme. Visitors can explore the house with a keepsake Brummie Passport, collecting stamps as they go, discovering art, music, food, film, history, comedy, spoken word and more as they are entertained by Birmingham legends.
